We welcome you to the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore.
The Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore was chartered in 1986.  The club currently has 36 members from a wide variety of professions.  Each week we invite a guest speaker or attend a special event which gives us great insight into our community and the interesting happenings in Niagara.
Our Club supports many local and international Rotary projects.  Our largest local project has been Charles Ansell Park, situated at Lock One on the Welland Canal.  We have now completed three phases of the park.  Other local projects we support are St. Catharines General Hospital, Community Care, RAFT, The Rotary Para Transit Bus, Salvation Army, and United Way Backpacks for Kids.  Internationally we have supported Children of Chernobly, Rotary eradication of Polio.  Also our Club is involved in supporting Rotary Medalists, Vocational Excellence Awards and Youth Exchanges.
To support our local projects and Rotary International we host a number of fundraising events
For the past 26 years our Club holds its annual Lobsterfest at the Bill Burgoyne Arena.   Over 300 guests enjoy an evening of all you can eat lobster.  Our club also hosts the very popular Trivia Nights.  In August we participate in the Rotary Ribfest by selling a variety of foods.  This year we had a plant sale at the Charles Answell PArk to help raise money for our Literacy program at Port Weller School and Assumption School.
The fellowship that is developed through our regular meetings and our fundraisers makes Lakeshore Rotary Club a lot of fun.  We are a very social club and we are always glad to meet new members who are interested in our motto "  Service above self"
