People of Action in St. Catharines

Since 1986, the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore has brought people together to strengthen our community, support young people and help create positive change around the world.

We are part of Rotary International, a global network of people who believe that when individuals with different experiences, skills and perspectives come together, they can accomplish extraordinary things.

Here in St. Catharines, that means turning ideas into action.

Making a Difference Close to Home

Our members are actively involved in our community — volunteering our time, raising funds and working alongside local organizations.

You'll find Lakeshore Rotarians supporting initiatives addressing food insecurity, helping families, caring for community spaces, protecting our Great Lakes watershed and creating projects that make St. Catharines a better place to live.

Some projects involve an afternoon of hands-on work. Others represent years of commitment.

What they have in common is people working together to make a difference.

Investing in Young People

Youth has always been an important part of our club.

We support young people through scholarships, leadership development, Youth Exchange and other Rotary youth programs that encourage service, citizenship and a broader understanding of the world.

We believe investing in young people is an investment in the future of our community.

Part of Something Bigger

Our impact doesn't stop at the borders of St. Catharines.

Through The Rotary Foundation and partnerships with Rotary clubs around the world, our members help support humanitarian projects that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, improve education and strengthen communities.

We are also proud to be part of Rotary's historic effort to end polio worldwide.

40+ Years of Service — and Still Moving Forward

Since our club was chartered, our projects and activities have changed as the needs of our community have changed.

Some initiatives have become part of our club's history. New ones have taken their place. But our commitment to Service Above Self remains.

Today, we continue to look for new ways to serve, new partnerships to build and new people who want to help make a difference.
