The garbage cleanup September 18 at the Club’s Charles Ansel Park (at Lock One) and along the adjoining stretch of the Welland Canal Parkway was a great success as part of World Cleanup Day.
A huge thank you on behalf of the members of St. Catharines Lakeshore to Past President Bruce Timms for organizing and setting up this year’s first Clean-up Day project! The garbage cleanup at the Club’s Charles Ansel Park (at Lock One) and along the adjoining stretch of the Welland Canal Parkway was a great success as part of World Cleanup Day. It was wonderful to see so many partners out supporting the members —— and even a few “younger faces” in the clean-up crew.
The next major cleanup at the Park and Canal is being planned in April for Earth Day and as part of the Great Watershed Clean Up initiated by PDG Frank Adamson.
